Mexico

Beach near Tulum Ruins, 2009

Mexico is an incredibly rich country and a great travel destination.  You can relax on a beach, take a cooking class or party the night away (or all three!).  The possibilities in Mexico are endless!

Mexico is one of my specialities…

Canal Boating in Xochimilco (near Mexico City), 2007

The Riviera Maya has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.  Cancun is nice, but I believe the Riviera Maya has so much more to offer – especially if you want to get a a little more immersed in Mexican culture.

Mexico City is a highly underrated city.  It has much to offer the traveler including excellent restaurants, spanish colonial architecture, charming neighborhoods (e.g. Condesa, Roma), a vibrant night life, and much more!

I have also visit other parts of Mexico including Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Chichen Itza and Valladolid. I plan to visit other parts of Mexico, including Oaxaca, Gaunajuato and San Migeul de Allende in the future.

Despite what most of have heard by the media, most of Mexico is safe. Like any country, there are parts of the country that are unsafe (notably some of the US/Mexican border towns).  When I travel anywhere in the world, I simply stay away from problem areas and  refrain from walking unlit streets late at night.
