Upcoming Trip to Vegas, Sedona and Phoenix

Vegas…not on the top of my list places to go but have to fly out there on 5/12 to attend a four day long travel agent conference at the Plazzo Hotel.  The goal of this trip is to network with travel specialists and learn more about the travel industry.

After the conference, I will visit Hoover Dam.  I’ve never been to a facility like this, thus, I am really looking forward to touring the dam and learning how it operates.  I understand it is a lot of fun.

Lat that morning, I will drive south to Kingman, Arizona, where I will then drive along Route 66 – “The Mother Road”.  I hope to see a bit of Americana from the 50s and 60s and perhaps an old ghost town.  The stretch of highway between Kingman and Seligman is supposed to be one of  interesting stretches of this historic highway.

Later that day, I will drive through the spectacular Red Rock Canyon from Flagstaff to Sedona.  In Sedona, I will stay at the Enchantment Resort – a luxury resort and spa in one of the box canyons.  While I am there I will meet the communications director and tour the resort.  When I am not working, I will do some hiking, get a massage and relax by the pool.

After Sedona, I will drive to Jerome – a low-key, old-western style town built on a mountain.  After that, I am off to Phoenix where I will meet the director of communications at the Westin Hotel and tour the property.

I love my profession!

Feel free to share any comments or tips if you have visited any of the above places.  You can comment below or contact me directly.  I’d love to hear from you. Thanks!
