Photo of the Day: Rio de Janeiro

Sugarloaf Mountain - Rio de Janeiro

I took this pic of Pao de Azucar (Sugar Loaf ) while visiting Rio de Janeiro in 2003.  This small mountain is accessible via cable car from Urca, a small, exclusive, residential neighborhood.  If you have seen the James Bond film “Moonraker” – you will know what I am talking about.  While the views of Rio were stunning from this mountain, the trip up there was the main reason for visiting this place.  A must see when in Rio.
