Moss Covered Oak Trees – Charleston, South Carolina

Trees - Charleston, South Carolina

I took this photo using my first digital camera while visiting a friend in Charleston, SC in July 2003.  As I was keen on seeing an old civil war era mansion, we drove a bit outside the city.  I don’t remember the name of this house but do recall how beautiful the grounds were.  This is the “driveway” to the house and as you can see it is lined with oak trees covered in hanging moss.

Charleston is a sophisticated city with a very good dining scene.  I can still taste the buttermilk biscuits, fried chicken and greens I had at a southern style restaurant in the city.  I loved the ghost tour as well.  Got to get back there!

Visit my photo gallery for more photos of Charleston (see album dated 7/03).
