“Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture”

The National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC recently opened the exhibit: “Hide/Seek: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture”. It’s an exhibit of art that celebrates a wide range of sexual identities. Like the Robert Maplethorpe show years ago, it’s controversial.  Already at least one object was removed from the show.  While I have yet to see this exhibit, I plan to do so as it came highly recommended by my friends.  It closes on 2/13/2011.
